Incredible Seaside Murals Created By Sean Yoro (aka Hula) In Hawaii
Sean Yoro (aka Hula), a New York City-based artist has come with a very original approach on street art. Like creating a realistic-style portrait isn’t difficult and impressive in its own right, Hula decided to grab his surfboard, a bunch of acrylic paints and created amazing hyperrealistic murals of women all while floating on water!
Hula paints his subjects at the water’s edge on unassuming concrete walls. Part of their heads and shoulders are shown, but the rest of them seemingly exists below sea level, a cool effect that suggests a bigger painting underwater. And they reflect on the surface in the most wonderful ways, the mirroring effect allowing the portraits to extend beyond the wall.
Sean Yoro comes from Hawaii and has tried his hand at graffiti, tattoo and watercolor art, but his real passion turned out to be paintings of humans. His Instagram is dedicated to portraits of women (sometimes on old surfboards) and the waterline portraits are his entry into the street art game.
