Stories From The Road: Travelling Across Europe With A Rooftop Tent
Travelling the world is a pretty amazing journey all on its own, but you know what’s even better than jetting off solo? Exploring every corner of the earth with the person you love most by your side.
We’re here to bring you the inspirational stories of those who are criss-crossing the globe with a loved one and documenting it all – seeing their thrilling expeditions just might convince you to quit your day job, take your partner and book a one-way ticket to someplace far, far away.
One of the stories from the road that really impressed us is the one of Marlen Mueller and Thomas Adler, two German photographers and designers who went on an epic trip from Germany to Croatia, sleeping on the roof of their car.
They started their amazing journey in September 2015 from their hometown of Berlin, Germany and travelled through Austria, Slovenia and Italy, visiting places like Gesäuse National Park in Austria, Dalmatia in Croatia, and Venice, Verona and South Tyrol in Italy.
Driving a Jeep Cherokee from 95 and using a roof top tent, the two were able to camp everywhere their wanted, sharing epic experiences and constantly learning more about what our extraordinary world has to offer those who are brave enough to explore it!
They have documented their 20-day-long journey through Europe on their blog, urbantenting.tumblr.com – take a look at a few of the beautiful images captured along their trip, they will ignite your wanderlust for sure!
