Casa Chacala by CoA Arquitectura & Estudio Macias, Beautiful Coastal Home Immersed in Nature
Summer is drawing near, which means it’s time to get away. Preferably by the beach. Today we’re going in Jalisco, a western Mexican state bordering the Pacific Ocean, the place where CoA Arquitectura & Estudio Macias designed one of the most beautiful coastal homes we’ve seen lately.
The two-storey family residence named ‘Casa Chacala’ is a great example of how contemporary and rustic design can work together to create a space that is functional, yet casual enough for a waterfront getaway.
The dwelling is formed from a grid of columns and beams, topped with a palm thatched roof. The project includes the social areas and a master bedroom on the ground floor overlooking the sea, four bedrooms to accommodate a family in each, and service areas.
Designing and building a house on the coast presents special challenges – the entire property is surrounded by a jungle of native vegetation. A huge fig tree, a palm tree and visual openings to the sea were the conditioning for the house. The team of architects successfully managed to overcome the challenges imposed by the location, allowing its owners to enjoy the sea breeze and vegetation.
‘Casa Chacala‘ is a beautiful coastal home designed by CoA Arquitectura & Estudio Macias that offers spectacular views to the ocean, blending seamlessly with the surrounding nature to create a calming retreat – a wonderful waterfront residence that invites you to live, to see, to relax or simply be”.
