The Woodman’s Treehouse Offers the Height of Luxury in Magical Dorset Woodlands
Staying in a treehouse sounds wonderful, but the reality – damp, chilly and cramped – can prove disappointing. Nestled in UK’s Dorset woodland, not far from the Jurassic Coast, the Woodman’s Treehouse is set to change all that, bringing serious luxury to the concept of a tree-top stay.
The Woodman’s Treehouse is a totally private and unique experience set high up in the branches of three oak trees. The timber building draws on diverse architectural and cultural references combining with theatrical effects to create a visually rich and playful construction in the picturesque tradition.
The structure encompasses and meanders around the tree trunks, but doesn’t touch them at all, thus leaving the existing ecosystem undisturbed. A large boardwalk leads to the main entrance of the tree house, high up among the branches. Though it may seem small, every home comfort has been thought of, including a bespoke kitchen, leather armchairs and a king-size mattress. A woodland-view spa is hidden high on the top deck and is complete with an open-air hot tub and private sauna.
Opened in the summer of 2016, the Woodman’s Treehouse is a magical setting that transports its guests into a green wonderland where uninterrupted views of the forest and modern comforts provide the perfect getaway experience.
